Hourglass brings together an eclectic and vibrant collection of poems ranging from the familia, nature, and the unnatural to relationships and figures. With a forward by Clare Pollard, once dubbed the Britney Spears of poetry, poets from across the university share some of their best work from Supermarket Gods, to the passing and coming of loved ones, and the play of the elements. The Oxford Poetry Society (OPS), established in 1946, is one of the oldest and most active poetry societies in the UK. It aims to make Oxford a welcoming place for poetry lovers all, and nurture a vibrant hub of poetic life for them within the University of Oxford.
